Ulster final set for Boston

THE delayed Ulster hurling final between Antrim and New York will be played in Boston on October 22.

The final was originally to be staged in Belfast in June, but New York could not travel because of visa problems.

However, Antrim, who won the Christy Ring Cup on Sunday, have indicated that they would be willing to play the game ahead of the Railway Cup final.

NY originally offered to pay for Antrim to travel in August, but the Saffrons’ management refused. That led to NY hurling boss Monty Moloney describing Antrim as “cowards”.
