THE Cork minors are on a mission of atonement tomorrow when they take on All-Ireland champions Galway in the first of the semi-finals in Croke Park.

Twelve months ago the Munster champions were on the receiving end of a crushing defeat by Galway in Portlaoise and have been itching for this rematch ever since, simply because Cork were not as bad a team as that scoreline painted them.

Cork will include a number of last year’s team, captain Pat Horgan, Tomas Murray, Stephen White and Paudie O’Sullivan, along with Conor O’Driscoll, Danny O’Callaghan and Colm O’Neill, who came on as subs in that game.
