Doherty hoping to face Ernesiders

DONEGAL forward Michael Doherty has given himself an outside chance of being ready in time for the county’s fourth round All-Ireland qualifier against Fermanagh in Enniskillen on July 30.
Doherty hoping to face Ernesiders

Doherty, who only made his championship debut last month against Down, scored 1-4 against Derry in the Ulster semi-final before he was injured late on. Fears he might have broken his leg and jaw proved unfounded but he still missed the provincial final defeat to Armagh.

The 22-year old has been limping since the injury and he didn’t feature in club county championship action at the weekend but hasn’t given up hope of being ready for the next game in a fortnight’s time.
