Lawlor on the double as Nire march on

BEATEN county finalists for the last two years, the Nire, cruised to the Waterford SFC quarter-final with a facile win at Leamybrien on Saturday.

A brace of Seamas Lawlor goals in the 18th minute and on the stroke of half time gave them a commanding 2-7 to 0-4.

On the restart the Nire upped the pace with further goals from Ger Walsh in the 33rd minute and two from Connie Power in the 50th and 54th minutes.
