Cahill ‘okay’ after collapse

THE Cork County Premier IFC second round tie between Nemo Rangers and Glenville at Mayfield on Saturday was abandoned with two minutes to go after Glenville selector Liam Cahill collapsed while assisting one of his players.

Mr Cahill fell to the ground and was immediately assisted by medical personnel.

He was suffering from severe chest pains. An ambulance arrived shortly to assist him, and after a 20-minute delay, referee Dermot Monaghan abandoned the game.
