Kildare appealing to DRA over blood sub ruling

KILDARE are to bring their case in the blood sub controversy to the Dispute Resolutions Authority (DRA) following Wednesday night’s decision by the Central Appeals Committee (CAC) to uphold Leinster Council’s ruling that five subs were used in the Leinster SFC game against Offaly.

It seems the Kildare delegation gave the CAC food for thought as it took in the region of 45 minutes to come to a decision, but, ultimately, chairman Syl Merrins and his fellow officers had their hopes dashed.

The DRA are to meet on the matter early next week in a bid to bring the unwanted saga to a belated conclusion.
