Semi-final sees three make debut for Rebels

CORK introduce three newcomers to senior championship football for Sunday’s Bank of Ireland Munster semi-final clash with Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds.

Called up are goalkeeper Alan Quirke, centre-back Ger Spillane and centre-forward David Niblock.

Kevin O’Dwyer was the regular custodian last season but was replaced by the Valley Rovers net minder for the start of Cork’s championship campaign. Anthony Lynch filled the centre-back position last season but now drops back to left full back to the exclusion of Gary Murphy, with Spillane from the Ballygarvan club, earning his spurs in the pivotal defensive position.
