Time for a frank look at flawed rule book

It’s so bloody daft, this whole uncertainty around the GAA blood-sub rule. Not an outrage, mind you — outrage is when a government fails to deal with the statutory rape situation, a situation that had been flagged for years, but a failure in which, yet again, no-one is to blame, no-one needs to be rebuked or disciplined in any way.

This current Offaly/Kildare blood-sub debacle has also been well flagged, but it’s in a different league. Nevertheless, it does deserve our opprobrium.
