Aghada face replay with Bishopstown after tough battle

BEATEN Evening Echo Cork Co Premier IHC finalists last season, Aghada got a tough battle from up and coming Bishopstown at Midleton last night and in the end both sides settled for a replay, 0-13 to 1-10.

Bishopstown, who had trailed for most off the game, thought they had the game won when the inspirational Ronan Conway stormed through the Aghada defence to bury the ball in the net in the last minute to put his side into a one point lead.

However Aghada attacked and were rewarded in the winning of three successive frees which yielded the point and parity.
