Because of the novelty of playing the game under floodlights in Páirc Uí Rinn on February 1, and the extra interest that has generated, the Cork County Board has decided to make the stand all ticket.
Stand tickets at €10 will go on sale at the venue next Monday between 7pm and 9 pm, and will be on a first come first served basis.
A limited number of tickets will be available to old age pensioners at €5. There will also be a family ticket available. Juveniles will be admitted free through turnstiles 13 and 19. Admission to the rest of the ground will be by cash at the turnstiles.
County Board PRO John Motherway says that contrary to media reports, development officer Bob Ryan has not been appointed liaison officer to the county senior football team.
The Tipperary team to play Clare in Sunday’s McGrath Cup final shows two changes from the side that defeated Waterford in last Sunday’s semi-final. Kevin Mulryan comes in at midfield in place of Liam England and Fergal O’Callaghan, who came on as a sub against Waterford, keeps his place, this time at centre forward. PJ Looby steps down to the sub bench.
Monaghan manager Colm Coyle keeps the speculation alive for Sunday’s McKenna Cup semi-final against Armagh in Crossmaglen by naming the same team that started against Derry in the previous round.
Monaghan played DCU in a challenge game on Wednesday night. Declan Smith, Dermot McDermott and Mickey Slowey impressed and may come into the reckoning. If changes are to be made they will be announced prior to the start of the game.
Tyrone manager Nicky Harte has included Allstar Peter Canavan in his side for Sunday’s McKenna Cup semi-final clash with Cavan at Breffni Park, along with his son Michael.
