Injury setback for Donnellan

FORMER footballer of the year, Michael Donnellan has suffered a major setback in his bid to return to competitive action with Galway.

The Dunmore man is likely to miss the remainder of Galway’s Allianz League campaign after breaking down last weekend in his first training session of the year.

Donnellan’s persistent pelvic problems have restricted him to only 30 minutes of football since losing to Kerry in the All-Ireland quarter final last August. Manager John O’Mahony admitted yesterday that his Allstar forward faces another frustrating and lengthy spell on the sidelines.
