Farrissey fires Rathluirc to glory

One of seven players from the Newtownshandrum club which won this year’s Cork U16 county title, Farrissey chalked up 2-5 tally as the north Cork school assured themselves of Harty Cup status for the 2006-2007 season.

Despite the lateness of the year, there was a great bite to this decider, helped in no small way by the excellence of the pitch and two evenly matched sides who went for glory from the throw-in.
