THE GAA have indicated that they will not delay the second All-Ireland football semi-final on 4 September despite calls for it to be put back.

The winners of Tyrone’s 27 August replay against Dublin will have just a week to prepare for a clash with either Armagh or Laois at Croke Park.

A Croke Park spokesman said the calendar is “extremely tight” and that the date is unlikely to be changed.

He added that holding the game on 10 September would be “impractical”.

The possibility of playing the game at another venue was also ruled out.

“It is too much to ask a team to play a replay and go into a semi-final a week later,” said Tyrone boss Harte.
