Lafferty leads charge as Clare claim first Munster camogie crown

After beating Cork in the semi-final, confidence was high in the Banner county and, with Fiona Lafferty in sensational form at full-forward, Limerick were under severe strain early on. Scores against the wind were at a premium while their defence was having trouble coping with the Clare attack. Goals arrived in the 18th and 31st minutes from Danielle Sheedy and Lafferty, while the green and white replies came mainly from placed balls.

The Banner County were in the driving seat, 2-4 to 0-3, at the interval.
