Kiskeam land late goal to reclaim title
The goal that mattered was the one that clinched the title in the dying minutes of the game and shortly after Rockchapel had cut the deficit to two points. It came at the end of a series of magnificent movements that punctuated what was a sometimes exciting and always entertaining final.
After a brief spell of dominance by the champions, Kiskeam, with Padraig O’Leary superb and Eamon O’Mahony always ready to pick up the pieces, had just regained control of midfield and it was from this area that the movement began. A piercing run from O’Mahony gave corner-forward Donal Herlihy possession and he found full-forward Billy Dennehy on hand to accept his pass.
