Managing pressure the key to All-Ireland win, says O’Dwyer

MICK O’DWYER has been through it all so many times before in his different roles, now it’s the turn of son John to experience the drama and excitement of an All-Ireland football final close up as a Kerry selector.

“It’s unbelievable from the point of view that when we had been beaten by Cork, I thought the world was going to end. But, thankfully, things have worked out fine since,” John says.

The team’s progress over the last two months is due to many factors, not least that players and management engaged in “a lot of self examination” after that defeat in Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
