Sciath sees glorious finale

THE curtain came down on this year’s Allianz Sciath na Scol football competition at Páirc Uí Rinn yesterday where five finals were decided amid tremendous scenes of jubilation by the victors.

Crosshaven Boys NS 1-5 Rushbrooke Boys NS 2-0

TWO goals in a minute put Rushbrooke on their way in this splendid F7 final. The first came from Luke O’Neill, who soloed from deep in his own half before scoring. And the East Cork school got their second on the kick-out as Robert Siggins seized a poor kick to set up Niall McDermott.
