Drom, despite having both midfielders Jason Stokes and Brian Fitzgerald dismissed in the second-half, trounced Mungret 5-13 to 2-3, and on this evidence must be favourites to hold on to their title.
Fitzgerald was shown a straight red in 43 minutes, and Stokes, with two yellows, followed him for an early shower.
The League points were in safe keeping after 15 minutes when the west Limerick side, helped by a Michael Reidy penalty, led 1-6 to 0-1, with Darragh O’Brien the Mungret scorer. Minus several regulars, Mungret were under constant pressure and Stokes snatched goal number two close to half time, to leave it 2-9 to 0-1.

FR CASEY’S, one of the main players in the championship over the past decade, surrendered interest when pipped by St Senan’s in a hard fought encounter at Glin.
For their part, St Senan’s, seen as outsiders at the start of the campaign, are now in the last four. Paul Ryan got the coast club off to a fine start with a brace of points, but life promised to become more difficult after Joe Kelleher goaled for Casey’s. However, Casey’s failed to gain inspiration and were left chasing the game after David Foley beat keeper Pat Curtin, to make it 1-3 to 1-0, after 17 minutes. Each side scored two more points to the break, which finished 1-5 to 1-2.
John Boyle brought Caseys that bit closer, but the impressive Andrew Lane and Paul Ryan opened a five points gap 1-10 to 1-5 with 12 minutes left on the clock.
Martin Scannell put the pressure back on Senan’s with a brace of points, and they were looking over the shoulders when Joe Kelleher and Con McCarthy left just one between them. Senan’s bolted the back door and refused to allow the Abbeyfeale men conjure an equaliser.

TOURNAFULLA took a step towards avoiding the trap door to the intermediate grade next season after a thrilling victory over Dromin Athlacca in the Limerick SHC at Ballyagran last night.
Dromin, in their first season in the top flight, were heartened with a Donal Walsh goal after 15 minutes which put them 1-3 to 0-2 ahead. However, coming up to the break Neil Curtin (0-2) and Michael Horgan pointed for Tour who trailed 1-6 to 0-8 at the break.
John Paul Sheehan levelled after the resumption. Paul Neenan restored Dromin’s lead, but a Pat Keogh goal after 40 minutes put Tournafulla on the road to victory. Seven minutes later Paudie Browne consolidated their position with a green flag, and with the last puck of the game, Owen O’Leary pulled a goal back for the losers.
