Blow for Brady as season ends before it began
Brady broke two bones in his ankle playing in a county intermediate football shield game on Saturday night with his club Kilconly against Caherlistrane.
He was suspended for four months for playing illegally in England which kept him out of Galway’s hurling and football teams for the Leagues.
The suspension ended on Friday night, freeing him up to play his first game of the season, but it all went horribly wrong.
“It’s very unfortunate for Kevin. He was looking forward to getting back into the swing of things after suspension, but it’s a bad break so we don’t know how long he will be out,” said Galway football boss John O’Mahony.
Defender Brady, who plays his club hurling with Castlegar, won an All-Ireland U21 hurling medal with Galway in 2002.
