Tipp display puts them back in race for title

TIPPERARY’S display against Galway in Semple Stadium on Sunday dispelled any notion that Ken Hogan’s men had no interest in the National League.

It put Tipp right back into contention for the year’s title and Hogan was quick to praise his charges. “Following our defeat by Clare, there was a lot of silly talk Tipperary weren’t interested in winning the league,” he said.

“Anyone who was in our dressing room after that match will tell you different. I said there was no disgrace in losing to Clare as they were a couple of notches ahead of the rest. They’ll have a huge stake in the championship, and will be one of the favourites.
