Thirteen years after first making his senior debut, O’Dwyer still keeps goal for Cork. And it’s the desire to win that medal which continues to whet his appetite for the countless hours of training and effort that is the life of the intercounty footballer.

Many of his former colleagues are now enjoying retirement from the game.
