Cork five missing for Limerick clash

CORK will be without five of their All-Ireland-winning starting fifteen - Wayne Sherlock, Brian Murphy, John Gardiner, Kieran Murphy and Brian Corcoran - for their opening Allianz National Hurling League game against Limerick at Páirc Uí Rinn on Sunday.

Sherlock has been ruled out with a groin injury. Gardiner and the Murphys and Gardiner are involved in university competition and Corcoran is rested.

John Browne takes over the right corner-back slot from his Blackrock colleague Sherlock, while Pat Mulcahy replaces Brian Murphy in the other corner.
