O’Mahony late strike turns cup game in favour of St Brendan’s

In a contest fought with championship intensity, the game swung the Kerry district combination’s way nine minutes from time as O’Mahony, previously with Limerick AFC, found the net.

St Brendan’s had enjoyed a perfect start when Conor Daly scored the first of his two goals, but Ballincollig wrested the initiative with a series of excellent scores and a neatly-taken Alan O’Donovan goal.
