Lee delivers and savours sweet taste of revenge

THE joy of Galway minor captain John Lee at the end of yesterday's thrilling All-Ireland MHC final replay told it all.

He was one of five players who had tasted defeat at the hands of Kilkenny in last year's final, and he and his colleagues made a promise there would be no repeat.

"We were absolutely gutted last year and we vowed that we would be back this year to turn the tables on Kilkenny, and, thankfully, that's how it worked out," said the Liam Mellowes player.
