Delaney calls for the abolition of U-21 grades
Delaney outlines the case of an 18-year-old player in Co. Laois who is involved with 14 teams at club and county level, four of them at U21 grade.
“There are arguments about bridging the gap between minor and adult level but, realistically, how many players actually progress from county U21 teams onto senior,” asks Delaney in his report to the province’s annual convention.
