McCague plays down possibility of players’ strike
He doubts there would be a desire for such drastic action, believing it won't arise as long as the GAA meets the required standard in its treatment of players.
Speaking in San Diego, Mr McCague said: "Every county has control over its own domain and, by and large the vast majority handle all their situations well. We have a minority of counties and I'm not going to pin it down to one who for various reasons cannot address themselves to the changes that are necessary, taking on board the changed lifestyles of players and people generally. We'll never reach a situation where mistakes won't be made.
