Croker pitch invasions still banned, says Kelly

THE GAA has not changed its policy in relation to supporters going on to the field in Croke Park to celebrate team victories GAA President Sean Kelly said yesterday.

Croker pitch invasions still banned, says Kelly

This happened at the weekend when Westmeath won their first Leinster football title, and on the occasion of the last two All-Ireland football finals.

“People should not come onto the pitch. That day is gone. It’s the policy of the gardaí and the safety authorities and we of course have an obligation to abide with that,’’ he said.
