Murphy hoping Munster challenge takes him to another level

SUNDAY won’t be a first Munster SHC final for Kieran Murphy, but he’s hoping for a longer run-out than last summer.

Murphy hoping Munster challenge takes him to another level

“I played for about three minutes last year. After that, though, I had four championship games. That gives you confidence, when you know you’ve been there and played in front of 70,000-80,000 people, you get more belief in your own ability.”

Murphy was a dazzling minor whose goals helped Cork to a minor All-Ireland title in 2001. However, he says senior inter-county hurling is a different level of competition entirely.
