JERRY O’CONNOR was last night awarded the Jury’s Cork Hotel Supreme Sport Star Award for 2005 at The 25th Annual ceremony, which took place at the Aula Maxima, University College Cork.

UCC provided a welcome home for the event, as Jury’s Cork Hotel is under reconstruction and will re-open in October.

Jerry beat off stiff competition from an unprecedented number of national titleholders that included his teammates John Gardiner and Brian Corcoran as well as Valerie Mulcahy, Briege Corkery, George O’Callaghan, Mick Devine, and Pat Price.
