O’Shaughnessy goal earns Kilmallock a replay with Adare
There seemed little danger to the West Limerick club when a long range free dropped into the goalmouth, but somehow O’Shaughnessy gained possession before blasting the ball past his county colleague, Timmy Houlihan.
He had started the game just as he finished, as a thorn in the Adare side. The youngster fed Padraig Tobin to notch the first goal within 26 seconds of the throw-in. But instead of building on that confidence booster, Kilmallock allowed Con Murphy and Conor Fitzgerald (2) to haul themselves back into contention before O’Shaughnessy once more regained the initiative.
