Griffin urges GAA to act on discipline

FORMER All-Ireland hurling winning manager Liam Griffin has called on the GAA to act on the endemic ambivalence towards discipline within the organisation.

Speaking at the launch of former Wexford defender Liam Dunne’s autobiography ‘I Walked the Line’, Griffin also spoke of his concerns about the widespread use of Creatine amongst footballers and hurlers, but it was the discipline issue that he concentrated on most.

“When a boy of 10 who is extremely skilled goes out with a hurley in his hand, one of the first things that is done is to negate his skills.
