Quinn, English and Dolan join forces to help Dublin youngsters
The Festival was developed to help young people from the Docklands further develop their hurling and football skills and become more confident and accomplished players.
The annual event, which is sponsored by the Docklands Authority, is now in its third year.
Quinn, who has worked with the Docklands Authority on the Festival since its inception, said he was delighted to help these young players develop their skills.
“It’s great to be involved with this super event year after year, the kids gain so much from it, not only in terms of developing sporting skills but it’s also an excellent way for them to build their confidence and make new friends,” he said.
The Festival, which is taking place at Parnell Park Sports Complex, Donnycarney, Dublin 5, is open to 10 -15 year olds from the Dublin Docklands area. Some 60 children are expected to take part this year bringing the total number of participants since the Festival began in 2003 to almost 150.
