Settle Croke Park issue, urges Fogarty

THE controversy over the opening of Croke Park to other sports needs to be thrashed out once and for all, Munster Council chairman Seán Fogarty said in Limerick at the weekend.

Mr Fogarty said once a decision was made the matter should be taken off the agenda for a few years.

He said there was merit in both sides of the debate, but it was not as simple as the GAA sitting down and taking a vote. "There is a feeling out there that we should come to the rescue of the rugby and soccer people.
