MAYO manager John Maughan yesterday admitted he expects rising county star Austin O’Malley to start against New York on Sunday.

Mayo open their Connacht SFC account in the Big Apple but O’Malley was left out of the lineup that has circulated through the media.

The talented forward has been a revelation in the league for Mayo and made his name with a Sigerson Cup medal for Sligo IT in February.
