Ballygunner to gamble on Flynn

PLAGUED by injury for several months, Paul Flynn is poised to take his place in Ballygunner’s starting line up for Sunday’s Waterford senior hurling final against De La Salle.

The all-star limped out of Waterford’s All-Ireland quarter final against Cork last July and has played very little competitive hurling since.

Despite ongoing intensive treatment, the injury problem has remained and he may well have to undergo surgery eventually.
