Nemo outclass the Barr’s at third attempt to reach Shield semi-finals

And the City champions can have no excuses for although they dominated this semi-final for long periods, 13 wides over the hour proved their downfall.

Showing a tremendous nerve for surviving tight matches, Fermoy used all of their survival instincts to wriggle free of a tough Erins Own challenge, 1-7 to 0-8, in this quarter-final at wind-swept Ballyhooly yesterday.
They also had to endure the agony of 11 wides while playing with a tricky cross wind advantage in the opening 30 minutes, so despite not setting the world on fire, their performance was still good enough to deny Erins Own.

Never overawed by the big occasion, Beara were crowned Cork Premier MF champions at Ballingeary yesterday - deservedly defeating Douglas 1-9 to 1-7 on a day when a cross wind and numerous heavy showers made the contest a real endurance test.
