GAA to monitor AFL PlayStation game

GAA chiefs will closely monitor the success of the latest deal between Australian Rules and computer giants Sony.

From next month AFL fans can play alongside some of the biggest names in the AFL thanks to a PlayStation 2 game that was launched by the AFL chief executive officer Andrew Demetriou.

Two years ago Sony announced plans for a similar Gaelic Football initiative but the project was shelved following rows over player image rights.
