We were beaten all over field, says O’Sullivan

BEFORE this All-Ireland semi-final in Croke Park yesterday, much was made of Kerry pride.

We were beaten all over field, says O’Sullivan

Beaten already in Munster by Cork, they would not want to be the first team from football’s first home to go down a second time in the same championship season to Cork, the neighbours for whom crowing is a second language. And rightly so, because there is huge pride in the Kingdom in that famous green and gold jersey.

Lost in all that hype, however, was the pride, the equal pride, the Cork lads feel in their own red and white, the blood and bandage. One man who certainly epitomises that pride in Cork is full-back Ciaran O’Sullivan.
