Doherty enters Limerick race

FRANK DOHERTY, who guided Caltra to All-Ireland club football championship honours, is the latest to enter the Limerick manager race following the departure of Liam Kearns.

Limerick football board chairman Owen Hayes confirmed Doherty was one of five candidates shortlisted for interview. It is understood former Westmeath manager Páidí Ó Sé is to be interviewed this weekend.

Mickey Ned O’Sullivan, Ger Lawlor, John Kennedy and Mossie McCarthy, from the Drom-Broadford club, are also in the running.
