Dolan feeling good at last

LIFE is better this summer. As always, it will be the shoulders of Frankie Dolan carrying most Roscommon hopes onto O’Moore Park tomorrow, but they won’t weigh the player down.

There will be a spring in his step for life has felt good for Dolan and his team-mates in recent weeks.

Playing for the county hasn’t always been pleasant. There was that Connacht medal, captured in thrilling circumstances two summers ago, but even that felt strangely empty when Galway ruthlessly exposed their limitations in the quarter-final. Same old, same old for Roscommon.
