Laois minors aim to lay ghost of Leinster final defeat to rest

MINOR footballers shouldn’t really be at an age where ghosts need to be laid to rest.

Yet this is the task facing Laois when they tackle Dublin in the All-Ireland MFC final at Croke Park tomorrow.

Heralded as their county's best-ever set of minors earlier in the season a truly bold boast considering the back-to-back successes of '96 and '97 Seán Dempsey's youngsters will struggle to at least lend some credibility to the belief against the men who burst their bubble in the Leinster final.
