Galway go top

GALWAY yesterday went top of camogie’s Division 1B following a 2-11 to 1-5 win over Wexford.

A goal from Orla Kilkenny after two minutes gave the victors a lead which they never relinquished. A penalty from Allstar Áine Codd left the visitors trailing 1-2 to 1-7 at the break.

Galway with points from Veronica Curtin, Shauna Murphy, Kilkenny (2) and a Brenda Hanney goal pulled away for an easy win.
