James McCartan and Mickey Linden, All-Ireland winning heroes in 1991 and '94, joined the Clones party as the Mourne men booked their place in the Ulster Football Championship final.
McCartan came off the bench to blast home a crucial second half goal, and 40-year-old Linden gave resurgent Down a further lift as a late substitute.
