United we stand

CORK coach Larry Tompkins has given his unequivocal backing to the decision of the Cork footballers to strike in pursuit of better conditions and facilities.

Twenty eight members of the Munster Championship-winning panel have joined up with their hurling counterparts in a strike action that has shaken Cork GAA to its foundations.

And Tompkins believes that the footballers are 120% right to make a stand even though it will impact on his winter training regime as Cork coach.
