Dubs boss will be appointed ‘within 10 days’

In a statement yesterday, board executives said: “Brian Mullins did not accept the position of Dublin senior football team manager as there was a disparity of opinion on too many issues.”

They added: “The county board is committed to appointing a senior football management team and the executive will meet this morning and progress the issue. We are confident of concluding the matter within the next ten days and, most importantly, have our players return to squad training. The incoming manager will receive, as has been our practice to date, the full resources at the county board’s disposal.”
