CORK hurling was plunged into a crisis last night as seven leading inter-county players rowed in behind goalkeeper Donal Óg Cusack’s stinging attack on the GAA chiefs in the county.

The strong show of support for Cusack's outburst has alarmed County Board chiefs, who met last night at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Joe Deane, Mark Landers, Kevin Murray, Fergal Ryan, Pat Ryan, Pat Mulcahy and Alan Cummins all openly criticised the treatment of inter-county hurlers in Cork by the Board, while other players added their support anonymously.
