Sars stalwart dies

THE death has taken place of former Sarsfields stalwart Tom Bowman.

He played at right-half back on the Sarsfields team which won the club's first Cork county senior hurling championship title in 1951.

He was also a selector when Sarsfields won their second title in 1957.
