June 21, SFC qualifier: Champions return to winning ways at Antrim

The All-Ireland champions had to make a quick switch before the off as full back Francie Bellew was deemed unfit and replaced in the fifteen by Paul McElvanna.

Despite leading 0-8 to 0-6 at the break, Armagh managed nine wides in the opening thirty-five to Antrim's two.

PJ O'Hare's side did manage to be level close to 30 minutes on 0-5 apiece, thanks to four Kevin Madden frees but fell away in the second period.

Madden had pulled his side to within a point with fifteen minutes remaining, as the second half finished level on points.

But thanks to the scoring duo of McDonnell and McConville, a quite "animated" Joe Kernan and his side march on.
