McGrath drives Déise win

Waterford 0-18 Tipperary 1-14

The Allstar ended with 11 points in a flawless end-to-end performance. Waterford were more superior than the winning margin would suggest, with Tipp’s goal coming in the final minute from a deflected free.

The visitors took the lead after 40 seconds and were never overtaken.

Tipp rallied in the closing stages to narrow the deficit to four (0-10 to 0-6) at the interval but were always playing catch up.
