GAA: Killavullen prove too good for Macroom

WITHSTANDING some sustained late Macroom pressure, Killavullen won the Tom Creedon Cup for the first time in Macroom yesterday, beating the hosts 0-10 to 0-8 in a final that was lively and entertaining.

Twice in the last five minutes Macroom were denied goals they desperately sought to save the game but twice full-forward Olan Murphy was out of luck.
